With the month of May we enter the rainy season.

On Sunday, May 18, I go to celebrate Mass in Labaso, about fifteen kilometers from Bangassou. The road is beautiful, and the village is small.

We celebrate Mass in the small chapel, which is simple and cozy.

During the week the situation in the east of the diocese (Zemio, Mboki and Ouango) is a little calmer. But tensions are high, and we try to see how to organize a mission to listen to the population, and invite calm.

On Friday we leave, Mgr Aguirre and I, for the south, to Ouango. It is 75 km of discrete road, and in a little over 2 hours we are there.

The Ouango Mission is one of the oldest. The Church is from the 1950s, and it is very beautiful.

We meet the Confirmation candidates, who number about 50, to prepare them for the gift of the Holy Spirit.

On Sunday 25 we celebrate Confirmation, with a beautiful liturgy that was very well attended.

 

These days the new Aid and Support Association for Bangassou Works has officially become operational.

The first projects are as follows.

- Send 1 or 2 volunteers to carry out the work on the Lanome' church (July 2025)

- Computer classroom at Bangassou High School.

The annual membership fee is 20 euros.
