A little late!
Here I am, a little late!
Despite the rainy season, work and activities continue.
On Sunday I celebrated Mass in Barka Bongo, a village 40 km away, on the road to Bangui.
On
Tuesday, Father Davide Sollami and 8 Italian volunteers arrived in
Baoro, they are visiting the Mission for the first time. Father David is
in charge of missionary activities and
of the Missions Office of Arenzano. Together with the group of
volunteers, they will visit the various missions and, above all, work in
Bozoum, painting the Sambay school.
Wednesday morning we left early (at 5) for Bangui. The road has not improved (on the contrary!), But we managed to arrive by 10.30, after 400 km.
When
we arrived at Carmel, our convent in Bangui, the young people of the
community were finishing unloading the container that has just arrived
from Italy, there were tiles, electrical and plumbing material, all of
which will be used for the construction of the new convent.
The construction continues.
On Thursday morning the rain stopped me for a few hours, but around
9.30 I was able to start the work of laying the sheaths for the
electrical system in the slab that they are completing. After the rain,
there was a beautiful sun, albeit a bit too much!
I finished at 5, only to resume and finish this morning, Friday. And so this is why I'm a little late!
