In a few days, on June 9th, 2024, I will be consecrated coadjutor bishop of Bangassou, in Central Africa. These are days of strong prayer and preparation.

This is the prayer we are doing in all the parishes of the diocese of Bangassou, but also in all the Carmelite communities of the Ligurian province (in Italy, the Czech Republic and Central Africa).
The NOVENA PRAYER in preparation for the EPISCOPAL CONSECRATION of FATHER AURELIUS
Great and merciful God,
that in Christ your Son you sent the Good Shepherd to the world,
and do not cease to give worthy shepherds to the Church your Bride,
pour out your Holy Spirit on Father Aurelio,
so that he can love and serve the Church of Bangassou
as a courageous announcer of the Gospel,
teacher and guardian of the faith,
sure guide of the people of God and faithful successor of the apostles.
Inflame his heart with charity and give him an ardent desire
to offer his life every day for the flock entrusted to him.
May he be persevering in prayer and wise in discernment,
and support him in trials with your strength and grace.
Amen.
